Liam Griffin, LMFT-A
Hello! I’m Liam, an LMFT-A with over a year of experience helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges and improve their emotional well-being. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues, and I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where clients feel heard and empowered.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and kink-positive. I draw from modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative Therapy. I believe in meeting clients where they are and working collaboratively to help them gain insight, develop coping strategies and build resilience.
I work with individuals, couples, and teens (16+), and I have particular experience in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, consensually/ethically non-monogamous relationships, BIPOC communities, and individuals and couples within the kink community.
I became a therapist, because I have seen and experienced the powerful effects of therapy firsthand, and I wish to help give others what I have received. I’m continually inspired by the courage of my clients and feel honored to walk with them through their healing journey.
In my free time, I spend most of my time with my dog, Fergus, as well as with my close friends and family. I also play the drums and bass, and I am learning guitar. I love music and true crime podcasts and tend to listen to those when I am walking Fergus.
If you’re considering therapy, I’d love to connect. I offer sliding scale fees, accept Cigna and Husky insurance, and offer in-person and virtual sessions. Let’s take the first step together toward creating meaningful change.
